G2 Machinedrum Sequencer 18 Years, 1 Month ago
For the lucky owners of an Elektron Machinedrum and a Clavia G2,
this is a midi-sequencer made to control the MD with the G2.
some info;

- 16 individual event sequencers (to trigger the 16 MD parts)
- Each sequencer can have 2 patterns plus an option to x-fade between them
- Each sequencer can have it's own tempo (clockdivider) and it's own lenght
- Random trigger for each sequencer

btw: one of the nice things about this patch is that your MD now has a
"sequencer mutator", a great & easy way to generate patterns.
(now hit that mutate button )

enjoy!

I'll need to add that filetype to the list of allowed filetypes -- thanks for the heads up.

Probably a stupid question, but...do y'all got fake poo?

But seriously, Mr. Show references aside, would this be compatible with a Micro Modular? I'm expecting a big fat "hell no!," but it can't hurt to ask.

G2 patches aren't backwards compatible with original Modulars as far as I know. You could, however, look at the G2 patch in the editor, and recreate as much as is possible under the original editor.

Thanks, Glaive. That's what I figured. This is a good excuse to dig into my Micro a little bit more--I've yet to make any patches with sequencers yet.

That's about all I did with mine -- the 'noodle' patches are expecially cool. I love aleatoric music. There was a guy at E-M 2005 who had two of them inside a small, wooden speaker cabinet. Each Micro played a different noodle, and he's occasionally change the patch. He called the contraption 'noodle radio'. Good times.

there's no way to do this on a NM1 or Micro due to its lack of midi send modules.
