I would definytly go for the dsibox, the mfb seems boring in compare to evolver and also it looks as it?s crappy quality on it....

haven't tried the evolver but i love my little MFB synth 2!

here's 2 tracks using it for basses:

http://dtr.wanadoom.nl/dtr/dtr-BBB-02.mp3

'bout the build quality, i have no complaints whatsoever. yes it's plastic but so is the evolver, right? btw, having all the knobs in front of you is quite a pleaure! i know this matrix editing from my microkorg and adrenalinn and it can get annoying after a while. i'd go for an MEK if i'd get an evolver.

well, speaking for myself - I got plenty of controllers and max aspirations, so I've got the control thing covered. Really the sounds you can create with the evolver are beautiful man...I dunno, dave & his colleagues really know how to make the science musical. I would love to buy a keyboard version in the future at some time, but for now the desktop unit is fine...great thing is you can build up polyphony over time, wait for a deal on ebay and pick up the polyvolver rack. 5 voices. You could always pick up the keyboard too, the evolvers are designed in such a way that you can control/program all the voices from the keyboard/desktop unit.....its nice to have those kind of future-proofing options....plus you can use it as an effects unit too...

i think glitched has some controllers too - so he's got that covered.
I will check out those mp3's divi (on a dial up - takes time!) - to be sure the MFB is a nice synth & I'm interested to hear some tracks

glitched:
shame about getting the g2 engine....the keyboard is definatly where its at, clavia certainly know how to interface well. I'm checking out the ebbe and flutt, cheers for the tip
