i thought i read there was some kind of OS you could install on the mpc1000 to make it like the 2000 or 2500. if anyone knows anything about this i would be excited to find out about it. i dont have a 1000 yes as i was waiting to see if this came to pass.

??? well, the OS 2.0 update added a lot of features which make it a more capable machine than the 2000 and pretty close to the 2500. actually, now that you mention it i think i remember seeing some screenshots of a custom OS that a user from japan was working on. can't remember what it did exactly though...

yeah the user one from japan was the one i am talking about, it is sopposed to have time stretching and a few other cool features, does os 2.0 have timestretching? thanks
