program to vew midi transmissions? 18 Years, 1 Month ago
i seem to remember mention of a program that you could hook the midi out into your computer and view what all was being sent so you could narrow down problems. if anyone knows what the program is called and where to download a preferably free version for the mac please let me know.

of course max/msp, but then you also get a whole programming environment with it what your looking for is midiox edit: ah shit, that s not on mac google for "midi monitor mac", loads of hits

You must have a version of Logic right ? In the environment window find the "physical input" module in "clicks and ports" and you will see two pre and post monitors displaying all midi input data. You can easily insert a new monitor between them and make it as big as you need.

thanks for the quick replys, i tried to google before posting but i was using all the wrong terminology the word MONITOR really helped out my quest. thanks for the other info on logic, i dont really use logic, i have cubase and digital performer but i have an old version of logic i can see if thats on there, thanks
