I was so exciting when I see the MD-Uw OS 1.32 come out. And this plus the fact that papertiger didn't want to play starcraft with me. () I decide to see if I can install my (really really) old Midiman BiPort 2x4s computer midi interface (no USB, it is connected to computer through serial port) and transfer the OS to the MD-Uw and enjoy.

I google the driver about WinXp and found a really good result:

Here is the direct link if you don't want to read that page:

The self-expand archive includes a txt file of WinXp installion guide.

The BiPort installs nicely. And then I began backup my new songs made in MD. But C6 didn't receive a single message when I did SysEx dump. I did troubleshooting with my Revolution, all the midi ports on MD-Uw (Both in and out) works well. The BiPort 2x4s can also output midi. But it can't input anymore. I used MidiOx for monitoring the input and there is completely no signals incoming.
I wanted to edit the biport mode to try if it works and it requires computer restart.
Unconsciously I used FlStudio to see if midi in works. It worked! But after using C6 it didn't work again. After a 2nd reset I used the MidiOx to minotor the input and it works. And I use it to receive SysEx from MD and it worked nicely.

In short, don't use C6 when you are using Midiman BiPort 2x4s, use Midiox.

And MD keeps sending midi sync infomation even when its sequencer is stopped:
