need software sequencer 18 Years ago
|
as part of moving i had to give up the monomachine... so all i have is a novation x-station and a macbook. anyone have any suggestions for a software seqeucer that would have a similar creative flow to the mono. i have the x-station which can function quite well as a control surface for most programs, so interface is less of a concern than workflow (if that makes sense)
suggestions?
(yes, buying a monomachine would be the best way around this, but i don't have the money- everything went for university housing)

You could have lived in a dumpster and stolen power from nearby buildings. Really the MnM would be worth it.
If you are OSx then Numerology is good.

kool, numerology2 just went into very early beta testing... and apparently there will be a 'Pro' version in the future, probably numerology 2.5 (which will be a paid for upgrade) oh and the price is going up in the next few days to $99, if it hasnt already.
I'm new to numerology, and so far I'm recording midi sequences into ableton live's session view for re/arranging and then onto some hardware, or ableton's impulse/simpler
This combo is great so far, the main attraction for me was the old-skool analog style sequencer - its dope, if you like that kind of thing. There's another sequencer worth checking out called NORTRON...same concept, more expensive - I took to numerology tho, and I lucked out and got a license for 25 euro
plus, Jim (mr numerology) is a nice guy, so nice infact that numerology 2 is gonna be a free upgrade
I really want some endless rotaries to use with this software....
