Roger Linn's Adrenalinn 19 Years, 1 Month ago
anyone have it here?

I have one on loan from the local music store, and I tell you - this thing rules! I am moving into a small apartment in an urban area soon, and will not be able to bring all of my gear - this thing sounds great direct and will elimninate the immediate need for my guitar amps and the box of pedals I have. I am definitely gonna pick this thing up! I just payed guitar for like 2 hours with it!

Plus its set up to run synths through as well. Does the fun ever start?!?! (insert tech-geek laughter here) (and possibly a snort if you wanna go there)

I don't have one, but I love the idea. I keep on hinting to my guitar friends that they should buy one, so that I can play around with it. Unfortunately, I've gotten to the point where I have to pass over any effect unit that only does mono input/output., regardless of how cool the design, features, etc. I just can't get down without stereo ins and outs. I had purchased a Frostwave Sonic Alienator, and it sounded gorgeous (in an awful sort of way), but the mono input was just too limiting for use with a synthesizer or drum machine. Couldn't deal with the lost of panning and other stereo effects. Oh well...

well it has a stereo out, so you could run it off an FX bus. But yeah, I can see how that might be limiting - then again, its mainly for guitar. I bet my Rhodes is gonna sound killer out of this as well - that stereo tremolo out of a modeled fender amp - nothing beats it!

Sure. For what it does and what it's for, it seems to be pretty damned hot. If I was a guitar player, or if I primarily played something with a mono out, I'd be all over it in a heartbeat.

It was incredible for adding a electric guitar sound to the mix without the need for a guitar/player. I ran the Voyager through it and love it's tempo-synced effects, although the drums are a bit lacking. Beats aside, the modeling on this thing is top notch and it's matrix editor, although tedious, let's a dedicated user program fairly deeply. I had to sell it to afford a set of studio monitors (Event TR8's), but loved it nonetheless. I'm waiting for the 3rd edition to come out so version II will drop in price. Very cool piece of kit.

why wait - it looks like they make them upgradable. I ended up not buying it because I need to get new monitors right now. Its on the list though.
