I don't feel like that, it's more that I spend to much time on this forum instead of mastering the MD & MM!
:-D

No, 2000 ? is not too much for great piece of work and development. Maybe you have to wait a while and make more music until you understand. It's worth each cent! Also, the spec is a compliment to elektron gear and the sound is completly diffrent. The Sequencer of the the spec can do a lot more compared to the mnm. If you are are happy with the gear you have, if you don't want something warm like an analog filter etc., fine! I need and have more... (sunsyn, moog voyager, FR777, Polyevolver, just to mention some...) :-D

Interesting. What extended features do it have?
more steps, much, much higher resolution, and different sequences can be different lengths {like schaaf's own polymorph, but better}. architecturally, it's radically different from the elektron model, because there's a lower level than elektron's "extended pattern" - you can change sequences and sounds for just the kick, eg - much like quasimidi's raveolution, polymorph, etc and e-mu's command station sequencers on the fly. there's a *lot* more realtime sequencing flexibility with these models.
those sequencers are admittedly more to my liking, which is why i have them in addition to my elektron kit.

i'm all for the labours of love, and i certainly count the spectralis and elektron gear among them.
i'm normally loathe to compare specs, but i should cite something the monomachine has going for over most everything else, and that's the trigless trig.
that's just... awesome.
