I looked into that before I got the moog, then I upgraded from a powerbook so arturia is more of a possibilty, although I liked the minimonsta. Actually I think I'm doing OK with the real thing and a sampler, but.....

in fact I just pulled up the demo of Arturia, lovely sounds but not an analog moog. I think I'm getting better results for my own ears.

Love my signature edition Voyager. So you guys like the editor? I have been thinking about picking that up, but wasn't totally sure. I have yet to try the headphone feedback trick either, but it sounds like it could be monstrous. Congrats on your new purchase, ggoodwin.

I recommend it highly, gives great control of the patches, saving and genetics are well worth having, ver 2.0 is even better with full control of bank changes.

The editor runs alongside Logic and Live and gives you deep control of every aspect of the patch, in fact it helped me get to grips with the huge modulation possibilities the moog offers.

Regarding CC's, I wrote a little logic environment for the Moog which worked quite well, but the editor takes this a lot further, allowing complex library functions for your patches, so I can easily save an important patch on my harddrive without disturbing my workflow for example.

I can also morph patches, say I want a round bass with a buzzy edge, if I have a buzzy patch and a round bass, I can have them create a family of patches between them and audition and choose the one which has the right mixture.

Another advantage is editing of the entire patch without navigating menus, say I want to change both filters from 4 to 2 pole and alter the Modulation source on pot 1, I can do this in seconds with the editor. In fact this is my favourite bit.

On my system it runs happily alongside either Live or Logic and allows me to manage the patch a bit like a vst, it all seems quite simple, but I would like to have the same option with a Monomachine.
