am i the only one not excited by this? am i ignorant? don't get me wrong, it's very beautiful, but other than that . . . ?
-MI think it looks like a cool little synth but I'm not lusting after one as I have a Voyager. Maybe that's blinkered of me, after all, every instrument has its own unique idiosyncracies. And I don't miss the third oscillator on my Rogue.
I hope the non-Tribute edition is much cheaper so people can get hold of a new analogue synth at a VA price. I reckon this is Moog's masterplan: everything about this synth looks like it's made to ensnare the young, new to analogue buyer. And then... onto the more expensive stuff!
I would have been much more excited by a polysynth. My Memorymoog, whilst gorgeous and fun to use, is very, very elderly and quite cranky. It'd be great to have a modern, more stable polyphonic Moog.
Here's hoping!
