I'm in love with those older/vintage, more colorful mixers with the VU meters and stuff.. (typical, I know)
like Odlarn's Soundcraft Series 200 & 200B mixers, they're beautiful and probably very good sounding too
i was lookingf for a medium size mixer and i was thinking about get that new allen & heath zed 14 but lot of people said it´s crap...it seems that they just have to cut too much corners to get the price that low
so i start asking people about a decent mixer and finally get a second hand mackie 1202 VLZ2 for $ 100, made in USA (the new VLZ3 series are made in china)...in excellent condition!...i´m really happy with it...it small enought to be portable and the mutes could send the audio of muted channels to headphones, so it´s really usefull in a live grooveboxing situation
