do you still rock your Ti?
I like it less and less as time goes on. I consider it more a useful instrument than an inspiring one. Having 16 parts with dedicated effects in a unit the size of the TI desktop is pretty handy, especially in trying to put together a live rig, but the sounds just don't do it for me most of the time. The underlying sound character is flat and by the time you've tarted it up with a bunch of effects it starts to sound cheesy and, let's admit it, trancey.
Compare this to the Nord Lead 2x, with 1/4th the multimbrality and a fraction of the features, but with a great, lively raw sound I love that always makes me want to play it. I've been working on getting some live material together just with the Nord and the MD-UW most recently, when I'm not hunkered down in Ableton.
I keep feeling that I should sell the TI but I haven't yet just because I feel that I still might *need* it sometime.

this does seem possible. it's really just that i love the reverb & delay but also love the eq/filtering but not always at the same time. i just get more use out of it then KP3.

i think this does sums up the Ti for me as well. sounds good, incredible possibilities but not very inspiring or really fun. i wouldn't say it's bad by any means but i just feel out of love with it. then bought another one and realized it's not just a fad, i'm over that box.
i guess i just realized i can use a softy for those needs for now.

It's a great combination, of course, although I found that getting *all* my sounds out of Elektron gear tended to be a little overwhelming, since the Elektron sound character is so sharp and digital and punchy.Yeah, I run them through the T-RES, a casstette player, and a RNLA to try to get the digital edge off...but it is even still there.
