Following on from Darenager's great share of a MD 808 and DR 55 kits * Ive added this emulations page to the sandbox...

Upload any sysex's and samples of the original machines to the files section so that we have a repository of Elektron Emulations.

Links and comments on emulations to go in here... Emulators go forward!

Zoot get that 303 kit up... im intrigued as I know you've had a few and know the sound.

Ive been trying to get the SID sound nailed recently (mnm emulation is very good anyways) but unfortunately Ive had most success using an external distortion pedal... doesnt really count!

Im also working at some generic analog bass on mnm... Ill post up when I finish.

If anyone want to post links to samples of the 'classics' here too it might be useful... freesound is a good place to find things generally.

I will have a go at the 909, I think it will take a little while as the sounds are a bit more complex than the 808, should be fun though

Good stuff. I think I have got quite close a few times (on the kick front) but I'm not one for remembering settings or even which kit i've saved it too. If I do happen upon one again I'll certainly post it up.

The 909 cymbal rom files in the files section sound quite nice in the UW, you obviously need to add a decay envelope and filter some of the lower frequencies out.. I presume this is what the 909 must do to those samples?

Suppose you could do with an actual 909 though really to do this kind of work.
