Ok, I'll spill what little I "know". Take this with a BIG grain of salt, I have no idea if this is how the new unit will materialise or not.

4 voice synth with Elektron style sequencer. Voltage controlled oscillators. By looking at the panel - 2 vcos pr voice?

Digital processing and control. Meaning, digital filters etc. I'm hoping they've been creative in this department, offering a broad range of filters, as well as waveshaping/multiplication/division.

CV/gate sequencer with dedicated tracks and dedicated outputs. I don't know how many tracks. Maybe two, since there are six track buttons - four for internal, two for external? Keep in mind dedicated outputs with DA converters pr track will take up real estate and drive cost.

Release: I was told 2013, but a lot might have changed in six months.

Cost: I have no idea.

Thanks for popping the hype balloon!
Interesting concept for a synth hey. I hope the internal a/ds are decent, in my experience running analogue synths through digital processor often takes away the raw goodness.

it seems to be 2 oscillators plus noise
2 EGs, 3LFOs

my experience with analog oscillators (modular) thru elektron filters is really good, and I´m talking the already existent filters in the MnM and MD (never tried it with the OT though)

the rawness was still there and when the filters close you can hear how it is tamed
AS Niks said I hope the filter implementation would be the key of this machine´s sound...having DSP filters would open a universe to implement such wonderful and diverse stuff, much more than using classic analog technology...I´m kinda sick of so many analog monosynths that pops up every morning at matrixsynth and synthopia...it´s like reading the same news everyday...over and over again

+1. I'm guessing they've kept the voice path "hardwired" - anything else would be hard to keep tidy in such a small box. Despite the limitations of a hardwired analog, I don't see Elektron offering a synth with a "fixed flavour". With digital filters and processing they have the opportunity to offer a lot more voice diversity than with one or two analog filters.

Yeah it will be cool. But makes me think... Why no one has really done this before. since the 80s hybrids like 106 etc. Its a more 'tame' kind of sound than the juno 6 for instance

What's really intriguing are what appears to be the 10 encoders A-J.

And i hope 10 encoders means a bigger display.

I also hope they have the same structure as the OT, so you can doubleclick to change effects, filters and such. Gives abit more selections per track. And vco to filter FM!!
