Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into that. This was promo pretty elaborate, it was probably filmed weeks or maybe even months ago. Just because the ad was released this morning doesn't mean they filmed it yesterday... i never claimed it was filmed yesterday.

marketing or not, an advertising campain like this isn´t for free and eats up quite an amount of money which the end-user will pay eventually.
what did the spot come up with? almost nothing.
it left the potentially willing customer totally in the dark.
other than that i just tried to point out what jumped into my eyes while watching the still picture posted before and those encoders DO look terribly wonky.
although i don´t have an octatrack, i had expected elektron to be quicker about solving bugs flaws and what not
before having the next unit thrown into the market.
when reading threads here about the octa i feel some customers aren´t quite happy with how it is by now, while prices will drop on the second hand sector for sure.
maybe i´m wrong again
