elektron are definitely champions in teasing...

i already said it but the cinematic short is nothing new, they did the same in 2010 before OT's release.. if they follow the same marketing campaign the next series of videos will showcase a single feature from A4 once a week (probably every friday) stay tuned folks!

Good thing I designed my new desk to have space for 1 more Elektron.

I reckon this is a better teaser than it seems, if you turn it up and close your eyes!!!

I wonder if maybe the clever chaps at Elektron have saved on some jack real estate by using 2 for the 4 cvs ? A TRS jack wired to 2 x Monos ( like an insert lead ) would give you 2 x lots of Cv & gate on only 2 jack sockets....



As I can't believe they've not put a pair of audio inputs on this beast... Very un-Elektron ... Plus the front panel labelling indicates there are inputs.

This could be the case. In the back panel capture, you can see 7 i/o's but it also looks like 3 different names above them, I guess the typical 'stereo out' and possibly two more.

Haha. Don't get me wrong, I did the same thing! I understand that people want details, but I'm still happy that Elektron put in the effort to make a video. They know we're watching.

Alternative titles on the midi ports eh...Perhaps we're in for some nord modular style editability Also, USB could be used to handle MIDI, or audio (unlikely tho). Might be able to back up patches, or even send wave tables to the synth, assuming it has some VA Osc. I've always wondered how some of the user waves in the MNM would sound thru a "proper" analogue filter.

I enjoyed that immensely. It was like the swedish version of The Road.

Of course I'd love to hear more nuts and bolts type stuff. But I'm just enjoying the ride and that will come in due time.

Unique, wonderful and rare in the gear landscape we are living in.
