My elektrons (monomachine, octatrack and machinedrum) are all connected to my vs2400 recorder. So I can do all kinds of weird multitracking tricks.
after that,
I import my recorded tracks and stuffies via a cd into renoise.
which is just the bomb in my book
it almost does 99.8% of the things I want my computer to do as a music-tool.. basicly needs better time-stretch/retune tool for complete loops.
no need to cry though.. that's why I got an octatrack
Not a big fan of connecting computers up to hardware sequencers.. sure I made it work in the past.. but.. wasn't exactly a nice workflow for me at the time.. maybe I should have tried one of those specific vst-host programs.. (that's the vst-part of a daw without a daw)
kinda turn my computer into a giant synth instead of.. but. like I said never tried that.
