Yes, just that, and all the LEDs are lit...What a horror...

I wonder if it has anything to do with the OS update...

machinedrumcrash

it seems the update itself or playing around with c6 and accidentally sending a sample via midi to my non UW machine has killed the dsp... don't know exactly because the failure occured only after switching off and on again...

btw. my bluescreen is more black and amber than blue

WOW Are you talking about the latest update 1.53b?? You have the same MD SPS1 MKI...

I saw your video, mine is doing exactly the same.
I didn't even use the sample manager, but I wondered why it is even there, it could have been "filtered out", or disabled in non UW machines, if it is indeed that dangerous...

So the moral to this story is: SPS-1 MK I, maybe MKII? owners- WAIT with update!!!

Can you boot it while holding down the function key? This happened to my MnM during a rescent attempt to update it, and going back to an older firmware seems to have brought it back to life.

No, it's 1.53 which is obviously faulty... Couldn't test 1.53b. I also own a SPS-1 mk1 and mine is on the way to sweden to... The ups boy just knocked on my door...

Hey man, I tried it all and I pleaded, I threatened, I slammed the door, kick the cat, but no, my beloved wouldn't hear of it, I just couldn't turn her on...
