After watching the vid, OK the screen is NOT blue, you mean all the pixels are lit, or negative let's say, but the background color remains red. Well looks like the DSPs are gone, I hope it has mothing to do with the new OS upgrade...

SPS-1 and SPS-1mk2 users saw a non working sample manager
but no mechanical settings menu instead of the other way
around. Fixed.
Clear LFO always set the track to 1 instead of the
current track. Fixed.

Unfortunately bugs slipped by us in the new OS. SPS-1 and SPS-1mk2 users are strongly recommended to upgrade from 1.53. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. A new and fixed version is now available for download.

Unfortunately I was the jerk who uploaded the faulty 1.53 and messed my unit by playing around with the "new sampling function" on my non uw md.

That´s timing for ya!..

Think I´ll wait this out a bit until I am finished with the current tour, don´t want the black-screen.. at leat not until the UW goes to sweden for knobrepair anyway..

number #1 rule for elektron OS updating (applies to other manufacturers too) is never load the new OS until (at last) 2 weeks of debugging
is not the first time this happens...elektron quick fixing/replacing OS updates in the days after any release is a classic

anyway I think anxious/new users contribute a lot to patient/older ones with the inmolation of their units for a quick diagnosis of bugs and crashes!

I now understand the term shiny in "SHINY NEW MACHINEDRUM OS"

is there someone who can tell me if the lfo are more fluid in high speed with the accurate encoder ?
I noticed there 's a long time that there were more fluid with an external sequencer ..

i ask this again maybe someone know : are the machinedrum mkI are different from the mkII ?
