MIDI message for Function + Classic / Extended.

how about this request:

seeing as how Logic version 8 requires a more accurate "Timestamp", perhaps an extra midi output could be included on the new Elektron machine .. to provide a Timestamp signal to Logic, while also sending out a midi clock to other midi machines. this way, Logic can auto-sync to the Elektron gear.

this is for the MM. i don't own the MD, so i don't know if it would apply to it also. i'm guessing this one's been listed before, but...

i'd like to see a different button combination used for mutes/unmutes. it's happened more than once that while i'm doing some speedy Stop-Start action on a pattern, and quickly dropping multiple tracks in and out, i accidentally hit Clear or Paste because i'm still holding down the Function button. sometimes i can catch myself in time and rectify it, but sometimes not. ever accidentally done this with the Clear button? bye bye whatever entire pattern that was! yes, i'm aware of Mute Mode, but when trying to edit things on the fly quickly, Mute Mode tends to literally get in the way (and requires yet another step to minimize the window).

seems easy enough to make Copy/Clear/Paste each a "three-button operation", vs. the current two. like say, Function-Enter-Clear, or Function-Tempo-Clear, or even Function-Up-Clear, something along those lines. i kinda like that last one, as the buttons are bit farther apart and make the effort to edit a pattern more of a conscious decision, with less room for error.

simple additions are nice, i wouldn't like to see the MD get over complicated!

Monomachine : Would be nice to see the track lights blink as notes where triggered on those tracks. When I'm building up a tune I may not remember exactly what is programmed on each track but if the lights blinked as notes where trigged I would be more easily able to tell what track had the running bass-line or the little glitch-sound every 16 beats. Much like a light flashes when a p-lock is in place would be perfect.

Instead of wishing for synthmachines in the MD I use a synth! (I know taste is different...)
But since I already have a great synth, all I want is for the MD's midimachines to be programmed the same way as you would program the MnM.
All I can see the present way of MD midisequencing is good for - is to play another drummachine (why would I wanna do that?!? )
The functionality is already there, in the MnM so I can't see why the MD should be this hard to midisequence...

(or have I missed something? )

MD, on the RythmEcho machine, bring back the missing controls of Effects page and apply them :

• either on the delayed sound


• or in the delay feedback loop

This would be selectable through a control on the routing page, for example.

someone please tell me why i cant do triplets with the retrigger-function of the MD ...?!

More parameter lock memory would be great.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but a real time pattern length feature ala the MAM SQ16 would be killer!
