Sounds great! Listening to your first mix i was liking very much how subtle the background accompaniment was when it appeared. The alternative mix has left me not knowing which i prefer - they are both very nice! Hope you put one or other forward to Actuel's compilation. Strangely enough i broke out the piano for part of my track (although not as well played as yours ).

I agree with matthew that there are elements of both that I like. The thing I like about the first mix is the fade in of the resonant sounds. Maybe its just that bit too sudden of an entrance in the second mix. When the sound is at full volume it sounds great to me but I think the fade in could be a lot longer.

edit: btw steve, this tracks reminds me of PJ Harvey's track 'The River', one of the best albums from the nineties 'Is this desire'.
