Just saw elektron announced that users will be able to buy the rubberized knobs of the OT for the MD and MnM. Awesome.

Why not just give them to Elektron owners who machines are still under warranty for free ?

No, but Elektron could ship all new MD's and MnM's with the new rubber-type knobs in future (they may already be planning that?). I think it's a good idea, and we just pay for the shipping.

Do you really think this rubber knobs will have a long and beautiful life ? yeah they are pretty good when they are new, i like them now but i have some serious doubt about the future. another question, how do you wash them ? i am not allowing peep to play on my octatrack with dirty hands

That was the first thing I thought about too. It seems like the rubber with soak in the oil and dirt from your hands after a while and stain a bit. They do feel nicer though.
