Hi All,
After a bit of research and info provided here at ElektronUsers I have myself a portable Monomachine setup.

I’m sure others have done this but I've not seen any actual evidence before so posting a pic and some basic info. I’m using a switchable laptop battery at 6V (5V-19V), rated up to 3.5A. I expect to get at least 5-8 hours. The battery was about $50.

Hi all,

This is what I got (I'm in Shanghai so easy to get hold of). You can attach a second battery for added backup and very coolly there is also a solar powered version/attachment (shown in the manual).

As for usage, I just got back from the pub here in Shanghai. I've left the Mono on with the battery all day and it's still ok, so I'd say my 5-8 hour prediction was a little conservative.

The battery comes with a pack of different adapter attachments and is +tip so requires no modding in anyway. Ready-to-use right away.

If you're a Mac person, it will also charge an iPhone and run the Mono at the same time.

I would imagine this would also be capable of powering the MD/OCT too.
