I'm thinking lets do a user compilation dedicated to the memory of Ryan, maybe sell it via one of the digital stores and donate the proceeds to his family.

EDIT - UPDATE The responses so far make me proud to be part of this community, I think it is very fitting and a lovely testament to how highy regarded Ryan was, however my inbox is getting a little full so if you don't hear back from me please be patient. Elektron HQ have very kindly offered to take care of the admin and backend of things, feel free to add your thoughts and ideas to this thread.

Track duration - Preferably under 6 minutes, for practical reasons.
Style/Genre - Any
Platform - Bandcamp
Release date - TBA
Submissions by - 25th May 6PM GMT, 1 per artist
Number of tracks - As many as wish to contribute (probably 30-40)
Price - minimum of $5 USD but with option to pay more or buy individual tracks at $1 USD or more
Promotion - Via Elektron, social media, EU forum, Blogs, Youtube

IMPORTANT - Please read all of the following before sending

Be sure to include project name and title. Also an email address where you can be reached. Please also tag the track 'ActualMemories' (note spelling)

All tracks must be in by 25th May 6pm GMT
Tracks should be wav or aiff, 24 or 16 bit, no normalisation, and around 3-6db of headroom if possible, also best to avoid using heavy master compression or mastering processing as they will all be professionally mastered anyway

I would help in whatever way I could. Ryan lead the 45 tribute just a few years back, so sad that we are now talking about doing the same for him.

I'll do my best to get something coherent together - if i do i'm in for sure.

Awesome guys, I had a few PMs from certain people too, so it is ON.

Personally I think the more tracks the better, but perhaps limited to 1 per participant, Bandcamp offers a much better cut than mainstream download stores. Also Bancamp payout quicker and there is no charge for putting it up there. I have a digital label with the ability to put it in all digital stores worldwide, but the rates suck and the set-up fees are not really practical so I don't use it anymore. But any other suggestions welcomed. Also with bandcamp the account could be setup to go directly to his family.


I'm more than happy to promote it on my youtube channel, and I know you guys will do this also.

I know there are a few high profile forum members, feel free to PM me or one of the moderators if you want to get involved, it would be appreciated
