OT: Starting a free running track in sync? 12 Years, 4 Months ago
I have been playing around a bit with building polyrhythms in the OT and was a bit disappointed when i realized that all tracks (if they have different pattern length) restarts at the length set as master. I guess it has to be this way though...so that the OT can know when to switch patterns.

I then realized that i could set up a free running track to loop endlessly independent of the master length. The problem is that i havent found a way to start the free running track 100% in sync with the rest of the sequence. It looks like it only can be started manually by pressing the trig key for the track... which if you are note careful will start it a bit offseted to the rest of the sequence.

So, is there some secret trick to start a free running track 100% in sync with the main sequence?

If I recall correctly, you can use a One-Shot trig on the sequencer's first step to start that endless loop in sync.

Can someone else pipe up and confirm or dispel?

No worries, INF length on master track and SYNC' ing free tracks are on the way

Its true you can SYNC up long samples using the ONE SHOT TRIG

I thought i tried starting a free running track using a one shot trig... but i wasn't able to get it to start i think... must have done something wrong maybe. Have to check when i get home.

Good to know things are getting better tho! Thanks for the feedback!

ONE SHOTS or any other TRIG wont trigger the track if the track is set to FREE
